Figure shows comparison of reduced plate height and analysis time between 40°C and 150°C.
Smaller value of reduced plate height means better column resolution. The reduced plate height
of acetophenone and benzene decreased at the 150°C.
Mobile phase viscosity decreases at higher temperature and thus enhanced diffusion rate
between the eluent and the polymeric stationary phase. Then resolution is improved.
